The Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, these are about a group of men turned immortal, led by a 11 thousand year old god who try to save mankind from daimons. The Brotherhood of the Black Dagger books by J.R. Ward, a group of vampires who are trying to survive destruction by the "Lessers", men who have been altered and try to kill all vampires first to then rule the world. Both series are a bit dark with quite a bit of humor thrown in.
