What are some good romance books to read?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin

Okay, yes. I am a girl, and frankly, i’ve been having trouble finding new books to read. I’ve read many drama/romance books such as Twilight series and the Time Traveler’s Wife. Please don’t reccomend any fantasy or vampire books since i’m not a huge fan. But I am a huge fan of drama and romance, also a bit of humor.

So please reccomend!

Sappy and Heartbreaking Love

~The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks
~Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

Teen "awwwww" Love with much Hilarity

~An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
~Key to the Golden Firebird by Maureen Johnson
~13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Fantasy-ish Love (not like vampires or anything, but involves an imaginary friend)

~Sunday’s at Tiffany’s by James Patterson

Unrequited Love with Self-discovery

~The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Teen-angsty Love with "awwwww" ending

~Two-way Street by Lauren Barnholdt
~Bloom by Elizabeth Scott

Fight for Your Life Drama with Teen Love

~The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I loved all of them and The Time Traveler’s Wife

Great Expectations is more of a classical book, and many think it is long and boring, but you might find the deep psychological thoughts of Pip trying to win the cold Estella’s love interesting. It’s the kind of book for the analytic types. You’ll like it if you’re deep.

The Gallgher Series by Ally Carter. A teen spy Cammie meets a normal boy, JOsh. THey go out in secret, but Cammie has to lie, since she can’t tell the truth. In the second book, Josh and Camie broke up and she meets Zach which is a teen spy too. She can tell him her secrets. :P In the third book, Cammie is being hunted by a group. Zach is also in this one. There will be a fouth book in JUne! I really love this series. :D

You’re probably going to read Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell someday, so why not just get it out of the way. It’s not a great book, by any means, but it is a classic romance and a good read. It’s quite long, so prepare yourself.

All of Nicholas Sparks’ books are really good when it comes to romance. Four of his books became adapted to movies. My recommendations: The Notebook, Dear John, The Wedding. =D

    Enjoy!

Nokosee: Rise of the New Seminole by Micco Mann has drama, romance, and humor (not necessarily in that order).

I’m not sure but here are some recommendation
    Audrey Wait! by Robin Benway
Is about high school girl Audrey Cuttle ( she’s a music freak ) who breaks up with her boyfriend Evan. It just so happens that her boyfriend is in a not-so-popular band ( I thinks they’re called the Do-Gooders or somethin like that ) and he writes a song called Audrey Wait! Which suddenly makes her famous when it shoots up the billboards. Meanwhile , she is trying to date her co-worker but isn’t suceeding.
    or
    Hunger Games
he he sorry . . . I’m to lazy to give u the explanation.
    Or
Introducing Vivien Leigh Reid : daughter of the diva by Collins, Yvonne.
A 15-year-old is going on a trip to Ireland to meet her mom who left her when she was 3-years-old .
It has quite a bit of Romance ^.^
Now starring Vivien Leigh Reid : diva in training
    is the second book
The new and improved Vivien Leigh Reid : diva in control
Is the third and last book ( I think )
    Good luck
