My favorite romance books are when they knew each other when they were younger–any suggestions?

I love to read, but I often find it hard to find a good and quality romance book. My favorites are when the guy and the girl knew each other when they were younger. It’s always more believable that they fall in love as quickly rather than other books when they didn’t know each other at all and marry after just a few months. If you have any suggestions on books like this, please tell me.
Maggie’s Child by Karen Robards. It’s about a guy and a girl who knew each other when they were kids and then teenagers. They fall in love. They are extremely poor, unfortunately, and so Maggie, the girl, goes off and marries another man. A rich man who is abusive. And her (ex?)boyfriend comes back for her many years later.
Sounds like the book you asked for. Hope this helped. I enjoyed it. ![]()

I generally lean away from those. Hmm. Spindle’s End by Robin McKinley fits the category, though, and so does The Hero and the Crown, same author. Warning, though: both of those are sort of young adult books, even though I still love The Hero and the Crown. And you might try The Time Traveler’s Wife, if you haven’t already- it’s half like the kind of story you like (and not young adult!). If you’ve been put off by the movie trailers, don’t think about them. The book is worth a read.

This one will not be coming out until 9/8/09, but it seems to be good. The last song by Nicholas Sparks. ( yes the same movie Miley Cyrus is filming)
