Any good romance books for a girl that loves to read?

Posted on March 19th, 2010 by admin

I’m 19, and I love reading books, then watching tv, I mostly love romance, what are good books that you like, and what are they about.
Oh, and what kinds of pieartes books.Like bloodey jack. sorry if I spelt things wrong.

Any book that Nicholas Sparks has written. I’m not big into romance or love stories, and I’m not an emotional person – but his books always tug on my heart strings and make me cry.

if you have read pride and prejudice (you can read this without having read it but it just makes it that much better) read Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife by Linda Berdoll its the ultimate love story

I love the Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn. It is teen romance. In the first book the main character (Christy Miller) is 14 or 15, but she is 17 or 18 by the last book I believe.

Wow… you sound just like me…..

I love Lisa Kleypas. She has a bunch of historical romance books. Hers tend to be humerous and often have some sad tragic thing happen, but it works out in the end. (www.lisakleypas.com)

I also love Julia Qiunn. Her books are witty and sarcastic (also historical romances). (www.juliaquinn.com)

Stephanie Laurens has a set called the Bastion Club series that is really good. The beginning book is called Captain Jack, which is about a pirate. The other books are about these nobel men who are part of this club and are trying to marry for love not for nobility. (www.stephanielaurens.com/Booklist.htm)

If you love romance, you will love Nora Roberts. She does an amazing job combining the love story with comedy, tragedy, drauma….you name it. Wonderful writer. I’ve posted her website below where you can find a book list. As for pirates, try Savage Surrrender by Cassie Edwards. Its a long one but worth it. Also, I’ve posted a link with a list of romance stories focused on pirates. Have fun!!

The Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers is SO good. It’s a historical romance set in the Roman/gladiator times, and is kind of a comparision of modern times and ancient times. You’ll love them–very romantic.

My other favorites are "Season’s of the Heart" series by Janette Oke, starting with "Once Upon a Summer". Those are great, as well as her "Love Comes Softly" series. These are set in the pioneer/colonial days, and are full of humor as well as romance.

The Princess Diaries Series is a very good read. It’s humorous and more romantic as you get later into the series(by book three). It is not really girlie, which is what you probably assume when you hear the title. They are also NOTHING like the movies. Basically just the plot. Then, nothing else.

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell: Its about the Civil War, but surprisingly not boring. Its the best love story I’ve read. I couldn’t put it down.

Stop by the library and take a look at a series called What Do I Read Next? You can look up a book you read and liked and there will be lists of other titles by that author and "read-alikes" by other authors. This might put you onto some authors that you haven’t found yet.

Go for Babara Bradford Taylor books. Mostly very wealthy heroines. Boost your morale. Alot of romantic settings. No vulgarities. Global setting and alot of party setting and family relation ideas. Start from "A woman of substance". It has two sequels.
