How long should matchmaking in Gears of War 2 take?

Matchmaking in the Gears 2 lobby takes forever. Took me about 20 minutes to find a match. How can I fix this? Whenever I play another game I usually have a perfect ping.Thanks

okay you could have a couple problems here
1) like the guys below me said playing by yourself takes longer because you have to find more players instead of just five if you had a full party
2) slow internet connection
A) your texting while trying to connect to a game thats bad.
B) you have a shit hole of a connection proven when your laggy after entering a game. You have trouble connecting to the host
Try deleting cookies and history on your computer and unplugging your router for thirty or so seconds. Should help a bit.

It is nothing you are doing wrong. That’s how the game has been since it came out. I haven’t even tried playing it online since last December, because if you weren’t in a party of 3 or 4, the matchmaking took longer than the games did.
I really thought they would have fixed that by now, but I guess they haven’t.

you cant really fix it hat to do with how many other people are playing online and how fast they go to quick match or ranked match.
