Does anyone else find it sad that no one writes love letters anymore?

I love reading collections of authors letters and let’s face it, you can’t re-read an email when you are old and grey
My husband and I do.
We buy the Hallmark $.99 cards (they’re mostly blank) and fill them up. We have a box of love notes and cards from the time we started dating, through our engagement and marriage, and now that our son is two they keep coming.
He’s got a heart problem and is living on borrow time (aren’t we all, really?). These are a great way to preserve the wonderful relationship that we have! : )

You can re-read email, when you are old and grey, if you back it up or print it.
While I was courting my wife I would leave her (MS Doc) poems on her Windows desktop all the time.
I must have worked

Emails and word documents are fine. But I do miss a handwritten letter. Or even a quick poem on a napkin. I keep a blog and a journal because I like writing. I like the feel of a pen in my hand but I also like letting my fingers flow over the keys. I like my cursive writing. I love writing my daughter little notes in her backpack saying how much mommy loves her.
So in respect I like both but I don’t want to let the handwriting of letters die. Paper and ink can trigger an emotion or a memory alone.

people still do, often personal notes, and those far away in the field away from technology, true enough new generation use email and text messaging, if you were still looking for collections, maybe check with elder folk in your area and grandparents who still have boxes stashed away, a lot of memorabilia get tossed away,
