I have been trying to use every Nigerian zip code I know to sign up on yahoo personals but the options it gives me are limited to the USA and Canada. I hate having to post a location that’s not real and I really want to sign up. Pls help.
Well if you use it from another country you would be better off…just make sure people know where you are from…type where you are from and post it.

I will tell you what I did. I bought one of those $10 visa cards…then went to the free 7day trial…put in all info…they only charge you $1, just to make sure card is active. youonly have 7 days to chat away…but hey you never know what you can do in 7 days. or just use your own card and cancel before the trial is up.

Well I think you can get a checking account for free at most bank, although I am not certain. If you get a checking account you can then get a debit card and use it as a credit card except instead of charging you it pulls the money out of your checking account, of course. You should definitely look into getting a bank account though, especially if you are looking for special someone. They like those bank accounts. lol
I was a member of Yahoo Personals, but let my subscription expire. I had pictures posted which appeared with my profile. When I rejoined, my profile was intact and so were my pictures, but where they used to appear, a black box appears with a white box inside it and a red x inside it. When I click on the x my pictures appear. How do I change this so that my pictures appear as they did at the beginning?
If you allowed your membership to lapse, the site may have removed the images, although they did not ’strip’ the profile completely. You probably need to delete the images (if you can do that) and resubmit them.

I dont think you can. But you know something? I met my husband on Yahoo Personals. He sent me an email with no contact information and I was not signed up. I wanted to contact him so I signed up for one month and was able to write him back. Was the best $20 bucks I ever spent.

Why does Yahoo Personals open now when I start Yahoo Messenger? I don’t want this unnecessary start-up. How do I disable it please? I have not used this in many years. Why does it suddently start now??? When I hit "go" it says that this is no longer available and will direct me to the personals page of me looking for a partner. I am married, happily, I don’t want another partner. I find this extremely annoying.
Funny. I got the same thing. I have about 109 emails waiting, and counting, and I cannot get to it myself.
I really don’t know what triggered this, because I run Yahoo from several different stations with different Yahoo versions and it shows up on all of them.
Maybe someone from Yahoo can help us out?!
I cannot figure out a way to get rid of this stupid spam that Yahoo seems to have added to their Messenger product… I even searched and found the opt out page yet I still get this notification which says I have 64 messages in my Yahoo Personals inbox. When i click on it the services asks me to subscribe. I just want this thing to go away!
Open the preferences from your main messenger window by clicking "Messenger > Preferences" then "Alerts & Sounds" from the left panel.
On the right look for "I receive a personals alert" and un check those 3 options for dialog box, sound, and the system tray icon. Hit apply then OK.
