what are some good historical fiction romance books and authors?

I love like regency romance books but any kind of historical romance books will do. I like preferably the books that take place in the 1800′s but not the 1900′s. I deffinately want no sex but lots of passionate romance. i want it to be more of a teen appropriate book. I really enjoyed pride and prejudice and my all time favorite the season. Any suggestions would be great. thanks!

My favorite teen historical romance author is Eva Ibbotson (not sure if I spelled that correctly). I recommend "A Countess Below Stairs" and "The Morning Gift". They’re my favorites.

"A Countess Below Stairs" is about a young countess whose family had to flee Russia. She starts working as a maid/servant and ends up falling in love with the owner of the house where she works (I think. It’s been awhile since I read that one).

"The Morning Gift" is about a part-Jewish girl who gets left behind when her family flees their country during WWII. A colleague of her father offers to marry her so she can be safe and live in London with her family. They end up falling in love, of course.

I hope this helps!

Any good authors for shape shifting erotic romance books?

Posted on May 1st, 2010 by admin

I pretty much just finished reading every book Christine Warren has out there and I absolutely love her to death. I’m trying to find other authors who write about the shape shifting romance in the same way as her. I tried Shelly Laurenston and a few of her books are good but her writing doesn’t get me hooked.
So my question is can anyone point me in the right direction for some more shape shifting/werewolf/were whatever erotic romance books?

Try Tiger Eye by Marjorie M Liu. Also, Kate Douglas is a good author.
