Is it wrong to keep love letters I get all the time from men other than my husband?

Posted on September 30th, 2009 by admin

My husband is very mad at me and doesn’t get that they are important to me. I get new love letters all the time. Am I really supposed to throw them out and ot keep them all?

Why are those letters so important to you? Is it that you need men to pay attention to you in order to feel like a desirable woman,or is it that you have reservations about having other men..You ARE married ,am I right? Hell yea your husbands upset about you keeping them, that’s like cheating on him.Are YOU??????????????? Get rid of your letters and be a good wife! you make the rest of us look bad!!!!!!!!!!

What is a good adult romance book for kids who like to read adult romance books?

Posted on September 29th, 2009 by admin

Well i like to read adult romance books and I’m 10 so I want to know your recommendation for the best ADULT romance book that isn’t too innapropriate and not too boring.

If I were you, I wouldn’t choose an adult romance, because most are a little too explicit for kids, but I can suggest a few good young adult/teen romances that are quite interesting:
-Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (and the sequels)
-The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
-What My Mother Doesn’t Know by Sonya Sones
-I’ve also heard that books by Sarah Dessen (like Someone Like You and That Summer) are quite good, but I haven’t read them yet.

How many dates do people nowadays wait to have sex when first dating?

Posted on September 29th, 2009 by admin

I would say what is typical is within three dates. How long do people nowadays wait to have sex when first dating? When should you invite a guy over for the first time? How long should you wait before having sex for the first time? I would say within a month or six dates. We’re in our late 30’s. Thx.
Does it not work out into a relationship if you have sex within two weeks or four dates? Thanks.

Well it depends on the quality of the dates. If you connected and had deep conversation within three dates then that’s fine. If you go on ten dates and never had any real connection or spark, then why would you get in bed. Its really case-by-case basis. Another thing, at the age of 30s, usually its fewer dates especially if you hit it off from the start. The first date is never advisable because it might give the impression that that’s what you’re in for or that you sleep around too.

Having sex too early and then having a serious relationship should not affect the relationship. If both parties are serious about each other, time is not a factor, just feelings.

How can I make home decorations out of love letters?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

My room walls are empty and want to decorate them with my and my girlfriends love letters.

That is soo adorable! If you want to preserve them then arrange them on any surface top and place over them a correctly sized sheet of glass or plexiglass to hold in place [i just suggested this to another person].

But what is much more unique is gluing them all together, as many as there are, and then cut in the shape of a heart and take up a huge section of wall, somewhere where theres nothing on the wall to take away from it. And then you will also have the outline of a heart with a square border which you can connect where you’ve cut and put that up instead, or in anouther room. You can also do this idea without the cutting of hearts, just hang a big square up on a totally blank wall, but thats just not as fun!

Why is sonnet 18 one of the greatest love poems written by shakespeare?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin

i know there might be other love poems, but based on shakespear, what so great abou the poem sonnet 18?

Sonnet 18

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm’d;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

Its eternal love for a withering beauty against all obstacles of Nature(e.g. Death, time etc.) since you believe that shs’s more beautiful than Nature(e.g. summer)

Romance Books?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin

I really like them (especially the regency stuff) but am a bit ashamed to talk about them to my friends as they think they are unintelligent. I’ve also noticed a lot of other people feel the same the way.

Why is that? Aren’t they as ’smart’ as other fiction books?

You have basically two categories of romance novels: the soppy and over-emotional and formulaic and the well-written, well-researched, good stories.

Though people don’t usually recognize the fact, all genres include the poorly written and the well-written. It just depends on which books you choose.

I think the reputation romance books have gotten is more because of the glut of them that have been written in the last twenty or so years and the fact that they can be good escape reads, usually for women (earned or unearned). The bad ones usually have little plot and a lot of sex…in historical romances it would be the so-called "bodice-ripping" stories of unrestrained passion.

If you want really smart Regencies, read any of Georgette Heyer’s books set in that period. They are truly good stories, with well-rounded characters and a lot of period details.

Just as an adult who reads young adult novels shouldn’t be ashamed, someone who likes romance novels shouldn’t be ashamed. If you enjoy them, you enjoy them. No apologies necessary.

BTW: there are a lot of fiction novels of various genres that could be called mindless reads. They don’t all have to be classics or profound to be enjoyable.

Who are the best authors of romantic novels?

Posted on September 20th, 2009 by admin

I’m just beginning to read romantic novels. To be honest, the steamier the better. So far I have read some Carly Phillips ones, as well as a Susan Andersen one. Any other authors that are both easy to find at your average store and really good (aka hot)? Also, it has to be modern/current, I’m not really into the knights or cowboys of the Wild West etc. Let me know, thanks!

PS Specific books (if they are really easy to find right now) are fine to mention too.

Well if you like the style of Susan Andersen’s writing then you’d really like Jennifer Crusie. Her female characters are sarcastic and witty. Her heroines normally have a really strong group of female friends where they play the role of the ‘practical one.’ So usually the story is about the herione’s encounter with a dashing male that makes her feel very UNpractical.

My favourite Jennifer Crusie novel is called "Bet Me." It’s about Minerva, a grumpy, starving actuary, and Cal, a very charming… well he’s a lot of things. Anyways, this is one of my favourite romance novels.

But some other Jennifer Crusie novels I would recommend are: "Faking It" and "Fast Women."

I also like Lori Foster. She’s an interesting romance novelist because she probably does a better job of writing her male characters. Foster is able to write the earthy sexuality of a man in a way that is normally not conveyed in most romance novels. She has a couple of books about a very dominant (especially in the bedroom), manly character who try to find the balance between protecting ‘his woman’ :p and being nurtured by her. But if this kind of dominance struggle is your thing then you might want to check out the "Wildly Winston" anthology. It’s 4 short stories, and each story focused on a different Winston brother meeting his match.

As far as sex goes, Lori Foster’s "Too Much Temptation" is pretty hot. It’s basically about this guy Noah who ends his engagement because he finds his prissy fiancee with another man. After ending the relationship he really just wants to let loose and get laid. And the first woman he runs into is Grace, his grandmother’s shy assistant.

I’m including both Jennifer Crusie’s and Lori Foster’s websites where you can actually read samples from the books I mentioned to see if you’ll like them. Enjoy!

Romantic Novels about Forbidden Love in an easy to understand language?

Posted on September 20th, 2009 by admin

Do you know any good romantic novels about forbidden love that’s easy to understand, other than Romeo and Juliet?

"I Capture the Castle" by Dodie Smith.

Part of the novel is about a teenage girl’s crush on her sister’s fiance.
